The Freedom Trail
Find yourself being transported into history along the Freedom Trail. A trail 2.5 miles long, with 16 nationally significant historic sites. It showcases collection of museums, churches, meeting houses, burying grounds, parks, a ship, and historic markers that tell the story of the American Revolution .
Boston Common
With 50 acres of public park land, Boston common stands as one of the nation’s oldest Park. Serving many different purposes down through the years from milatry to purtin pasture it is now used a recreational area for walkers joggers and sometimes protestor. During the icy winter months Frog Pond is transformed into an ice-skating park, with major bands such as maroon 5 performing there.
House of the Seven Gables
Inspiration for Nathaniel Hawthorne's novel, of the same name, the house was constructed Built in 1678. Learn about many of the legends associated with the home and even get to explore its secret staircase, to intrigue the wildest of imaginations.
Havard University
Founded in 1636, was named for its after its patron, Reverend John Harvard. The University now features ten graduate and professional schools. Many notable persons were educated here including six United States presidents and more than 40 Nobel Laureates. It is possible to get a guided campus tours depart from Holyoke Center.
